Bringing more life to the neighbourhood was Immobel’s main objective with the Lebeau Sablon project. To achieve this, the developer would repurpose a vacant building complex in the Sablon and convert it into offices, homes and commercial units.

But the project environment has a very distinct character: the neighbourhood attaches great importance to its rich history and takes a critical view at new projects. So how do you get this sceptical neighbourhood excited about a new project?

We invested in a well-thought-out communication strategy with a strong focus on community engagement. Through transparency, honesty and bilingual communication materials, we won the neighbourhood over to the design, ultimately securing the much-coveted permit.
