from vision to story: communication for the Brabantse Wouden

B-W.png

How do you create an identity for an area that, until recently, had little in common? We tackled this question for ‘Brabantse Wouden’ National Park, and we developed a strategy and action plan for them.

the question

Primaire-beeldtaal.jpg

The Brabantse Wouden have been a new National Park for several years now. It consists of the Sonian Forest, Meerdaal Forest, the Dijle Valley and the Hallerbos among others. These separately managed areas each had their own logo, branding and management approach. But suddenly, they became part of a bigger story.

In an extensive process of workshops and interviews, we worked together with internal and external stakeholders on themes such as the National Park’s positioning, the USPs it can leverage and the target groups it needs to appeal to.

a sustainable communication approach, built on clear positioning and branding

This resulted in a communication strategy, a future-oriented logo, a new website and an action plan that enables the National Park to continue shaping its young story. In this way, we set out the framework for the National Park’s external communication in the coming years.

our impact

Numerous interviews, workshops and consultations resulted in a comprehensive communication strategy, including an action plan, a brand identity guide and  a new website, enabling the National Park to present itself to the outside world.

communication strategy

Development of a communication strategy with an extensive preliminary phase, focusing on three key areas: setting up the basic channels, preparing the underlying organisation, and defining the branding and positioning.

positioning

In the communication strategy, we refined the USPs the National Park can leverage and how these are expressed in online, offline and on-site products. We also developed a future-oriented logo and an accompanying brand identity guide.

Graphic design

We developed a new logo for the Brabantse Wouden, created a brand identity guide and developed a new visual strategy for the National Park, ensuring that its USPs are reflected in the right images. Furthermore, we developed a (temporary) website.
